Shalonia is an actor and teaching artist located in Seattle, WA. She is about to graduate this month, December 2020 with her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. Previously, Shalonia has dabbled in photography by helping her family and colleagues who run their own photography businesses but she is excited to share some of her original work.

Being in the middle of a pandemic has made the subject’s of my photography limited, however my sister (as my quarantine buddy) was generous enough to spend hours with me as I experimented with different locations, lighting, angles, and camera setting. This project is all about exploration and finding my portrait style.

landscape / Abandoned Seattle
Seattle streets are usually full of life, but due to the national pandemic things on the street look more and more abandoned as time goes on. These photographs are things that I see on my typical daily walk through my neighborhood, where I am lucky if I see a handful of other people out and about.
