STACEE WILLS

Stacee Tweedlie Willis is an educator, director and actress, along with being a mom. She loves everything about theatre from directing to performing and the process to achieve both. She runs a children’s theatre in Riverside, CA (TCARiverside) and she also works as an adjunct theatre professor at California Baptist University.

Stacee enjoys taking photos of her students, her son and anything that her dad joins her on because he’s quite the photographer. This class has challenged
her and she feels she has a long way to go, but has enjoyed the process, as well as the growth.

portrait / Portraits of a Stage Manager

These are my first attempts at taking a portrait photo and although I have a long way to go, I enjoyed a few of the images I captured of him. Him laughing is one of my favorites, it shows his personality so well.  I don’t think these are quite to the quality of being able to use for auditions but I really enjoyed photographing him and learning about my camera. And I also enjoyed seeing him progress in being comfortable behind the camera because he is usually a stage manager.

independent / Burning Bonnie & Clyde

“Some day they'll go down together they'll bury them side by side. To few it'll be grief, to the law a relief but it's death for Bonnie and Clyde.” - Bonnie Parker

I loved the imagery of Bonnie and Clyde burning just like they went down in flames together, albeit it gun fire, but still. The progression of the start of the burn to the final image with the holes in the painting. I love how it represents their tumultuous relationship and that ultimately they ended up dying because of their undying love for one another.

landscape

Convict Lake near Mammoth, CA was the location of this beautiful shoot. I loved how the mountains reflect in the water. The peaceful location and the gorgeous landscape made for a perfect photo. I played around with movement in the water and enjoyed the idea of capturing a moment in time. I usually photograph people so this was a change of pace for me and I really enjoyed it.
